P. T. Usha (born 1964) is a retired Indian track-and-field athlete, one of the greatest sprinters India has produced, nicknamed the "Queen of Indian Athletics".
Career
She narrowly missed an Olympic medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Games, finishing fourth in the 400 metres hurdles by a hundredth of a second. She won numerous medals at the Asian Games and Asian championships.
Legacy
Usha inspired generations of Indian athletes, especially women, and later became president of the Indian Olympic Association.
