Prithviraj Chauhan (c. 1166 – 1192) was a Rajput king of the Chauhan dynasty who ruled parts of present-day Rajasthan and Delhi in the 12th century.
Reign
He is remembered for defending northern India against invasions. He defeated Muhammad of Ghor at the First Battle of Tarain but was defeated in the second battle in 1192.
